Velsen Homes was proud to support the Comox Valley Regional District in the construction of the new recycling depot facility on Quadra Island. Our team played a key role in delivering the early and finishing stages of the project, helping ensure the site was prepared and completed to a high standard.

The project began with our crew managing the site preparation and excavation, followed by foundation preparation, concrete work, and coordination of multiple construction scopes required to bring the facility to life. Careful planning and execution were essential to keep the project progressing smoothly while working in a remote island environment.

Once the structural steel building was erected by a contractor retained directly by the CVRD, Velsen Homes returned to site to complete the final construction details and finishing work, ensuring the facility was fully completed and ready for operation.

Through strong communication, attention to detail, and coordination between multiple trades and stakeholders, the project was delivered successfully and now serves the Quadra Island community as an important public infrastructure facility.
